Community Service

Crossroads Community Church has a divine directive to reach out to and touch the lives of those in the local community and beyond. And to do this, our members are actively engaged in missions outreaches, both local and aiding those in foreign missions.

Locally, we financially support several outreaches that are actively engaged in assisting individuals who are affected by or infected with HIV/AIDS.

The Resource Center of Dallas is one of the charities that we are most actively involved. We have supplied all the seating, dinning tables, purchase of new and maintenance of air conditioners, reconditioning of the hot/cold buffet table in the dinning room. These along with other sizeable purchases are just some of the ways that Crossroads continues to support local organizations and minister to those who are in need of even some life's basics.

AIDS Services of Dallas is another one of Crossroads' Outreaches. We assist ASD by direct financial contributions as well as in their Supper Club. This is where we as a church prepare and serve dinner to one or more of the ASD residences. You may wish to get involved in this needed but rewarding local mission outreach at Crossroads.

Lone Star Ride is another great outreach to the local community. Each year Crossroads Community Church is greatly involved in the efforts to provide health care to those who need it - and the Lone Star Ride is just one more way that we accomplish it.

Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS - is a 2-day bike ride designed to increase awareness about HIV/AIDS and raise much needed funds for three AIDS services organizations in the North Texas area. Riders and crew raised $293,685.56 for the 2003 event - a 55% increase over 2002. For the third year in a row, 100% of amounts raised by riders and crew was returned to the beneficiary organizations.

Needless to say we are excited to be a Sponsor of this organization.

Home for the Holidays is another of our favorite charities. It provides emergency transportation funds for those who are terminally ill so that they can travel home for the holidays or for their families to travel to see them for what could very well be the last time.

Crossroads' own Jason Van Netta was elected as and is currently serving as Miss Charity America, who's responsibility it is to watch over, promote and produce many of the seasons charity events.
