Who Are We
Crossroads Community Church, Inc., (CCC) is another church option reaching out to the DFW metroplex. We believe that our church's strength comes as a result its diversity. Crossroads is an open and affirming congregation reaching out to the entire metroplex including the GLBT religious community. In a world where the Love of Jesus Christ is absent - Crossroads Community Church is reaching out to all who are seeking to know more about a loving heavenly Father and that it is His intent that "none should be lost" and that "whosoever would call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
CCC has a contemporary style of worship that uses today's music with praise and worship choruses-different from traditional or liturgical services. Many of our members grew-up in non-denominational churches that have since rejected them for who they are. We also offer teachings and Bible study that provide practical application of God's work in today's world.
CCC is a legally recognized 501(c) 3, not-for-profit organization. The church charter is on record with the Secretary of the State of Texas in Austin. The church has three board of directors, as required by the state, who are responsible for the legal and spiritual aspects of the church. These three board members handle all business responsibilities as well as oversee the spiritual aspects of the church congregation.
A Short History Of Crossroads Community Church
In September 2000, four people started conducting early organization meetings about a new work in the GLBT community in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. These lead to our first Bible studies, which met in the cottage of Bethany Presbyterian Church on Saturday evenings.
While at Bethany, the Saturday night Bible study grew and in October, the group adopted the name "Crossroads Community Church" and unanimously voted to accept Bob Barker as their pastor. The small congregation agreed to move its Bible study and begin Sunday morning services and acquired the use of the Colors Rooms at the John Thomas Resource Center. Their first Sunday services were held on January 7, 2001.
Soon the church outgrew the Colors Rooms for Sunday Worship service but continued a Sunday school study at 9:30 am in those rooms. The Sunday Worship service was moved to the main facility at the Resource Center and continues to meet there to this day. They also have Bible studies held in the homes of their members throughout the Metroplex.
Currently Crossroads is preparing for a new church building located in North Dallas. With it, the church continues to grow and prosper in all of its many outreaches and services to the entire community.
Mission Statement
To bring to the Dallas/Ft Worth Metroplex and beyond the timeless loving and inclusive message of Jesus Christ
Vision
To reach our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ with any method that does not violate scripture, traditional or contemporary. To usher in the anointing of God so there is a genuine demonstration of Gods' Power in our services. To make sure every resource that is used provides an atmosphere with one of these two ends in mind.
- To win the lost and
- To establish our believers in Christ and in ministry.
Diversity

Therefore we are an open and affirming, loving and inclusive congregation who open our arms wide to include anyone and everyone who want to grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.
If you want a safe environment where you can grow spiritually; one that is non-threatening and is conducive to growing closer to Jesus every day - then Crossroads Community Church is the place that you will want to call as your home church.
